How to play Sweety Mahjong

Choose one of six layouts, ranging from easy to hard. Select two identical sweet tiles that are free for play. A tile must be uncovered and accessible from the side under the game’s Mahjong Solitaire rules.

Click with a mouse or tap on a supported touch device. The layout clears as valid pairs disappear. Finish the full board to complete the round.

The game also tracks speed through a bonus window. A fast match can help the score, but a rushed pairing can create a dead end. Board access matters more than one early bonus.

Choose a layout by structure

Easy, medium, and hard labels describe more than tile count. Wide layouts emphasize long rows; tall layouts hide more pieces under upper layers; compact shapes can make identical copies block one another.

Start with an easy board to learn the candy artwork. Move to harder shapes when you can distinguish similar cakes, wrapped sweets, and pastries without relying only on color.

Match for access, not appetite

Bright artwork attracts the eye, so the first visible pair can feel irresistible. Before clicking, check what each tile releases. Prefer pairs that remove a top blocker, open the end of a long row, or expose several hidden pieces.

Keep neutral edge pairs available as a reserve. If every obvious pair disappears early, the remaining board can become difficult to scan and harder to recover.

Handle four identical sweets

When four copies of one treat appear, compare the possible pairings. Match across different pressure areas instead of clearing the two easiest copies from one quiet corner.

If two copies sit in the same vertical stack, do not leave them as the final pair unless an outside copy can free the lower tile. This is the same four-copy problem found in classic Mahjong Solitaire, only with candy faces.

Use hints as a learning tool

Sweety Mahjong provides a limited hint supply. Scan the perimeter, upper layers, and unusual shapes before spending one. When a hint reveals a pair, note whether you missed its symbol or its availability.

A hint shows a legal move, not necessarily the move that opens the most tiles. Compare the suggested pair with other options before committing.

Protect the bonus score

Speed matters only while the board remains solvable. Use a two-stage rhythm: scan quickly for high-value opening moves, then pause after any pair that changes several layers.

Do not chase the bonus by testing blocked tiles. A consistent clockwise scan is faster than random clicking and produces fewer mistakes.

Sweety Mahjong versus sweet match-3 games

This exact game removes pairs of free tiles. It does not require straight lines of three candies, and it does not use the seven-slot tray found in Mini Mahjong. The theme can look similar while the legal moves differ completely.

It is also not four-player table mahjong. There are no hands, discards, calls, or scoring patterns.
